Detention Officer Job Description

Detention Officers supervise inmates in the Tarrant County Confinement system to ensure safety, security, and proper care. Responsibilities include:

1. Performing assigned duties diligently
2. Maintaining physical fitness
3. Responding promptly to emergencies and drills
4. Using reasonable force to ensure safety
5. Supervising inmate feeding, movement, and recreational activities
6. Handling inmate property and correspondence
