Insight Global is seeking a Senior Surgical Coding Auditor & Analyst to lead surgical coding audits and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for a large healthcare provider in Texas. This remote role requires deep expertise in professional fee coding across multiple surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will be a certified coder with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for education and compliance.

Open to hiring out-of-state candidates, except those residing in CA, WA, OR, NV, or NY.

Schedule: M-F, flex start between 7AM/8:30 AM CST till 3:30/5 CST (REMOTE)

Duration: 6-month contract-to- hire

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of experience in billing, coding, and medical records.
• 5+ years of recent certified coding and auditing experience.
• Proficient in coding for Urology, Breast, Gynecology, General Surgery, and Colorectal specialties (Professional Fee).
• Strong knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10, ICD-9, and HCPCS coding systems.
• CPC certification required.

Day to Day:

Participate in committee calls and cross-functional projects as needed.

Conduct audits of surgical coding for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Provide feedback and training to coding staff based on audit results.

Stay current with coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory changes.

Develop and deliver educational materials and training sessions.

Analyze coding data and trends to identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with physicians and staff to enhance documentation and coding practices.

Support compliance initiatives and assist with claims denials and appeals.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for surgical and specialty coding.
